"Brought to you by the tirelessly resourceful and inspiring Craig Tattersall, one time member of Hood, half of The Remote Viewer, The Boats and the Moteer/Mobeer labels, as well as generally just one of the most individual and instantly recognisable producers we know, Cotton Goods is a new venture designed to act as an outlet for completely bespoke packaging and some incredible music to boot. This first instalment has been lovingly put together by the fair hands of Tattersall himself, a painstaking process of taking apart and reassembling old dusty books rescued from various sources, modifying them to hold a cd inside, binding them and then creating an outer card slipcase individually embossed for each beautiful and completely distinct copy. But trust us when we tell you that this amazing object isn't really about the packaging - the music is the thing that will completely tear down any pockets of resistance. We've been waiting a not inconsiderable number of years to hear this man produce outside of his various collaborative ventures and the result has left us predictably giddy. The music is all hissy, aged and completely analogue, shards of melody flooding the mix at one moment before being washed out by static and hiss the next. All manner of toy and grown up instruments (we're sure there's even a trumpet in there somewhere) decompose and realign themselves with their surroundings in a style that'll be familiar to all Remote Viewer followers out there and which just never fails to blow us away - and we reckon this really is one of the mans best set of productions to date. 100 editions only have been made of which we have a measly 80 copies available for purchase. Strictly One copy per customer - you've been warned!!!!!!"-boomkat
