Andrey Kiritchenko - True Delusion (Spekk, 2005)

mp3 / 320 / 96mb / rs | rel. 2005

"A slight departure from the usual ultra-minimal Spekk sound here from Ukrainian Andrey Kiritchenko. Rather than using digital fragmentation and reduced sound we get a full sounding and strikingly beautiful series of eight tracks split into two distinct halves. The first is concerned with the gentle processing of acoustic guitars coupled with wonderfully dense background sounds and hiss. All four tracks are gorgeous. The second half uses piano as the basis for the constructions and, again, adds a serious amount of background found-sounds to create layers and layers of compelling noise. A genuinely lovely release from a brilliant label. Of course, the artwork is absolutely sublime as well. Highly recommended."-smallfish
